Happy International Cat Day! Hang on, isn’t every day International Cat Day?! It is in our family! Fluffy is a #queen and demands to be treated as such!
So, here is Queen Fluffybum, the first of her name, with a brand new collar especially for the occasion, as she takes her morning repose whilst watching the birds dance just for her on this glorious occasion! We don’t have a throne for her unfortunately, but she has a million beds and a particular box that she’s claimed, so she’ll have to manage with those and the windowsill at my dad’s house!

Hello and I hope you are all having a #happysunday doing whatever floats your boat! I shall be reading again for most of the day, I’m now onto The Falcon by Isabella Maldonado. I finished Book of Night by Holly Black last night so I’ll be working on that review later! I’ve just bought a couple of book logs to try out, to see if it helps me with my blog reviews…only trouble is that there isn’t enough room for my notes, so I’m having to supplement it with extra sheets of paper clipped in!! Today I have another #funkopop #photo for you…my favourite Stranger Things character, Dustin! Now, Dusty has some competition from Steve, Robin, Hopper (and Joyce, that woman is as quick as a whip and always picks up on stuff first! Plus she is a brave as hell) and Eddie (😭 #toosoon), with some love for Eleven (mostly her powers!), but he is my favourite by a decent margin! I love him so much, he is smart, sweet and extremely funny, and he really carries the rest of his friends (they’re all a bit useless except Max and Eleven, let’s be honest here) for all 4 seasons of the show. His relationships with some of the other characters - ok, I mean Steve and Eddie, oh and Suzie 🥰 - are hilarious and oh so sweet, and he acts most of the cast off the screen. Netflix give Gaten Matarazzo a raise already!

I have to say that Peter Pauper Press (on Amazon) have some really wonderful items, notebooks, bookmarks all sorts! Worth a look if you fancy a beautiful gilded notebook with a reproduction image of a silk hanging from Ottoman-era Turkey, or the cover art of the Catalan Atlas by Abraham Cresques from 1375! It appeals to the historian and book lover in me, never mind the hoarder of notebooks ✨my precious✨

It’s Harrison Ford’s 80th #birthday 🎂 today! So I thought what better way to #celebrate was this #photo that my husband @geekysnapper took a few months ago.
We picked up this #figma figure in 2015 through Amazon, but he ended up getting buried by all his figures as we don’t have anywhere to display them all yet! He recently had a rummage (ooh I love the word rummage, it’s a great word, it also sounds a bit dirty 😏) through his stash and found his #indianajones figure, and decided to #photograph him.
So, #happybirthday 🎂 to Mr #harrisonford, I hope that he enjoys his #80th and still has some more decades left to grace us with his movies, and his legendary grumpiness! Here to grace your eyeballs is my bèbé (channelling my best Moira Rose! #schittscreek ) boy Stitch in #funkopop form! I think that Stitch really works as a Funko Pop, probably because the dimensions aren’t far off! Now, I am aware that I said that Ariel from #thelittlemermaid was my favourite #disney character, but I probably should have specified human/human-ish, because I love the little creatures and animals more than I could ever love the hoomins!
Lilo and Stitch is possibly neck and neck with The Little Mermaid as my favourite Disney movie. It’s so fun, yet there are some deep topics discussed. Family, loss, grief, being different and not fitting in. All important topics for kids…of all ages!

Hello again and welcome to another #throwbackthursday post! Here is my Martha Moo as a baby at my gran’s house. Ain’t she a cutie?? My gran used to keep a box of toys for the dogs, and she’d have Martha and Merlin following her, very carefully so they didn’t knock into her and hurt her, to where she kept them in a nook under the stairs. #happysunday everybody. Hope everyone is having a relaxing #sunday. This is what my Sunday looks like, one of my favourite books, The Copper Crown (Book 1 of The Tales of Aeron, part of The Keltiad) by Patrica Kennealy-Morrison, who sadly died just under a year ago, a cup of tea in my beloved Little Mermaid cup and a couple of honey and oat biscuits. It’s a ‘pleasure read’ day kinda day…not for reviews, no new stuff to digest, just an old favourite that you know back to front!
Do you have any favourite books or book series that you can slip into for a ‘comfort read’? Some others of mine are anything by Steve McHugh but especially the Hellequin Universe, and the virtually everything by Kelley Armstrong.
