@andrew did a presentation at #Positconf2025 on updating a Quarto website with election data for the state of Idaho using the {targets} #RStats 📦. That may be a more robust workflow than you need, but it got me interested in targets for Quarto! You may want to look at his sample code? github.com/andrewheiss/electio

is a pleasure to work with. Sometimes mind bending (why does it not work? 🤔 … ahh, lists 🤦‍♂️)
but most of the time great.

I use it in combination with . I had situations where my code got faster and shorter by doing this.

    Enjoy

  10. @Lluis_Revilla my oldest package is on since 2012-08-31. It has the fewest dependencies. I cannot remember that it was removed once. has the most dependencies. 🤨
I sincerely hope to get PCRedux back on CRAN. Otherwise, is the venue for the users. I will try my best.

  11. @AAMfP @Mehrad @Lluis_Revilla @EUCommission
It's of course intended as an anti-SaaS clause, and the big SaaS providers are of course aware, so in that sense it is quite deliberately done this way.
Of course it affects eg. Hobbyists who just want to run a service on VPS in exactly the same way.
IMO the #EUPL is a very double edged sword in that sense.

  17. I got an abstract approved for so now it is time for the conference-driven development period. I'll provide "new" insights on keeping packages on CRAN with the recent datasets made public by the CRAN team (+ updated data on the submission process).

    See you on Warsaw!

  18. (ab)Using this feature I submitted the draft of a second abstract to . Now I need a bit of conference-driven-development to fill it up well :D This one is about the recently opened up data from CRAN.

Given the ids to each abstract, I think there are around 6 submissions per week.

  19. Anyone knows if is it possible to edit an abstract submission once sent to the conference? It uses the indico platform but I don't find any mention for this.

Just checking if I can submit now and edit as the conference-driven-analysis take shape. For now, the data is under review as it has some errors and will need to be generated again from its primary sources.

  20. At the 100th meeting of R users Madrid .

Nice to see a community thriving for ~10 years. I've kept in touch with them the last 5 years, and I presented rtweet a couple years ago on their meeting. Thanks for all the community effort

  21. Many integrate into the UI, making suggestions. They usually provide some way to check usage/tokens used.
Talking with some friends and team mates, I am struggling to compare the different experiences: some say that they cannot go back, others that it was bothering them.

I am looking for a way to measure on IDEs how many suggestions are added to be able to compare "AI suggestion ratio".
Is there a way to track/log how many suggestions are used/added/accepted into the source code?

  29. Finally the efforts of the dev day landed R-devel!! Some improvements on Rd2HTML mainly for accessibility.

@eliocamp created the patch while I was identifying the issues. There are still some issues that can be improved as explained & discussed on the (now closed) issue bugs.r-project.org/show_bug.cg
    Diff: github.com/r-devel/r-svn/commi

  30. Happy new year! I'm trying to recall some details of the talk by Kurt Hornik on . I found the slides, but would like to hear what was said about a specific topic. Although many of the conference content is on the Youtube account youtube.com/@useRConference_gl, I haven't found that talk (event if it was a keynote). Does anyone know if it was recorded and if it will be shared? I wanted to confirm about some CRAN policies/practices before asking directly/publicly on a mailing list.
