  17. Almost two thirds of London is (potential) greenspace, including 24% of residential gardens! They can be an oasis for wildlife as seen in David Attenborough’s latest show Secret Garden. 🦔 🪶 🌱

I’m very fortunate to have access to one, about 21% of households don’t. But luckily London also has a ton of public parks to which access is more evenly distributed.

  24. Number of gyms in London per 1,000 people for Sports. Didn’t feel too inspired by the theme but always a good reason to dig into some new data.

Guess there are more gyms in the center as some people use them in their lunch breaks? Numbers are notably higher in Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.

  29. Great to see an ever growing network of 20mph roads (green) in London making roads safer. 🤩

Speed is one of the single most important factor in whether a collision takes place and how severely people are injured.

Safer roads also promote #cycling. In the latest NTAS, 55% of people said that safer roads would encourage them to cycle more. Most of them (86%) consider lower speed limits an important aspect of safer roads. (Source: gov.uk/government/statistics/n)
