#MiddleSchoolTheWorstYearsOfMyLife is wonderful and encapsulates what you want from a kids’ #film though I could leave Bear.
#LoveLife has them doing Cats for a moment so I had the fan thing of recognising costumes and makeup. It opened with a small thing that was a strong way to set up the character.
The less silly of the comedies are #AboutABoy and #LifeInPieces. Silly ones I still found funny - #Impastor, #TheMick, #ManWithAPlan and #JustGoWithIt.

Good evening from Thaxted. Clio and I have been watching another version of #DayOfTheTriffids - this time the film starring #HowardKeel. To my shame, I haven't read the book, so dont know how faithful this film is. It has a much more international feel, taking in many countries, while the resolution to the #Triffid problem was found here in England. I particularly liked that these two storylines ran in parallel, with the characters never meeting. You rarely have that in a film. Pax!

Here I am tucked up in bed reading the #Look-In #annual from 1976, and I'm transported back to #Christmas #1977 when I was tucked up in bed reading the #TomorrowPeople comic strip in that year's book. I was deeply engrossed in their abduction by a #UFO when a hand grabbed my leg and I jumped a mile! It was mum telling me it was time to put the light out.
Nobody grabbing my leg tonight, unless a TP jaunts in. John was my favourite. Pax!

Good evening from Thaxted. I cooked a proper dinner tonight including #vegan Yorkshire puds (from a packet) and honestly tea was a triumph! Sometimes you need a plate of veg and #gravy.
I watched another #PlayForToday this time "A Photograph" which was captivating in both performance and plot. Lovely to see Stephanie Turner pre #JulietBravo and John Stride of #TheMainChance - playing a similar character but much less sure of himself than David Main was. A solid 8/10 for this one. Pax!

The scenario isn't obvious at first, but soon becomes apparent that there exists a specialist who given a phone call will help you put an end to family "problems". The cast put in an excellent performance with well-written dialogue around a central premise. #LeonardRossiter leads this #farce in what would be his own final year of life. Excellent viewing and certainly thought provoking. #BBC #television #drama

I've just spent sixty quid on #Look-In annuals and #TomorrowPeople novels, and a selection of practical books on #weaving #NetMaking and #NaturalDyes for H. Now I really should sleep. If only I had a book to read before lights out. Pax!

We've activated #winter #warmth mode at the #charity. Just in from delivering funded #heaters to vulnerable adults and families in the district. Despite being an affluent area, there are pickets of absolute #poverty where the life expectancy is four years less. The contrast and conditions are still shocking to me.

I watched #MyPoliceman last night and despite my hating on #Amazon it was an excellent #film
#HarryStyles turned in an excellent performance as Tom, both courting symoathy and affection, for the character and latterly resentment and anger at his behaviour.
The outcome was always being steered towards, and older Tom was uncomfortable watching as he realised what he had missed.
Well worth two hours of your time. 5/5

#HarryStyles turned in an excellent performance as Tom, both courting sympathy and affection, for the character and latterly resentment and anger at his behaviour.
The outcome was always being steered towards, and older Tom was uncomfortable watching as he realised what he had missed.
