I’m on my way home from my first #PyConUS, which was as fun and friendly as I’d expected ❤️🐍❤️. Always great to meet folks IRL whom I’d previously only known through Discord et al (especially so many @pyladies!), and to see folks I’ve been lucky enough to get know before at @pybay, @NorthBayPython, or @pybeach.
And kind of a trip to hear Travis Oliphant refer several times to work Paul Dubois did in the 90s on Numerical Python, when in the 90s I only knew Paul as “Friend’s dad who drives us to the movies and helps with Mortal Kombat”!

But it’s so disconcerting trying to convince my brain that she’s not Emma. It’s not just that she’s wearing Emma’s face, but every expression and tilt of the head. Clone Club for days. Holy shit. Her genome was like “Cheers Dad, but I’m good. Going on all in on Mum, actually.”
