  1. @KennedyRichard

Minor suggestion, is to have both Target's hand show at once. It makes it smoother, and not "jump" when the other hand just disappears.

But it's very, VERY cool and I like it. Makes it very obvious how to get the two connected.

  2. 🔥 I'm Kennedy, happy to announce the release of my first ever vertical slice of my free and open-source game (fully playable 1st mission): Bionic Blue 0.13.0!

You can install it with "pip install --upgrade bionicblue".

You can also download the source from GitHub github.com/IndieSmiths/bionicb and launch it with a Python instance that has pygame-ce installed.

  3. Scripted scene system (+ dialogue management) for the Bionic Blue game.

github.com/IndieSmiths/bionicblue (beware: vid shows unfinished/unreleased content not yet in the main branch; official release of the full first level should happen, hopefully, in a month or so)

    -ce

  4. Language support feature I implemented recently (it is not on the main branch yet because I'll only merge everything in a month or two when I release the first level of the game).

    -ce

  5. 🔥 Nodezator 1.5.1 is out!

    pip install --upgrade nodezator

Finally merged and released the socket proximity detection feature (shown below) + other unrelated content updates

    Release post: github.com/IndiePython/nodezat

  6. Been actually working on other things but had an idea for another variant yesterday and didn't want to waste it (already in Nodezator's dev branch).

This time the cursor is a baseball

  7. Final version is very similar, but decided to hide the cursor. Now I use the hand that extends from the 1st socket like a cursor, instead of having it offset behind the cursor as before.

Thank you all for the feedback, specially

    &
lisa44Yes (handles from X). Feels and looks better.

  8. Okay, you asked, and now there's a hand near the mouse to meet the one on the nearby socket as well. Thank you all for the suggestions so far. (already on Nodezator's dev branch as well).

  9. No guys, hear me out, we might be onto something here! What about tracking eyes that become happy when the connection is reached out? (also in Nodezator's dev branch)

  10. In Nodezator's dev branch: changed the magnetic sockets feature to make it closer to what I envisioned originally: the nodes had hands and would help you by grabbing the new connection for you.

The hands are CC0 assets from the excellent

  11. Already in Nodezator's dev branch: magnetic sockets

It makes much easier for users to edit graphs, because they don't need to have the mouse exactly over a socket to interact w/ it. Instead, a nearby socket is detected whenever a relevant action takes place.

  12. 🥳 Just managed to implement input recording/playing in (didn't publish yet).

👇 Here's the creation and printing a string variable that says "Hello, world!". I'm not controlling the mouse or keyboard at all. App is just playing pre-recorded input in real time.

  13. My entry for "forgotten robots" prompt using the app (generalist Python node editor on the public domain).

I used it to generate the movement in spiral of each light ring coming out when the character dies. Check the toots below for more info
