Today we drove into the #garajonay national park and #hiked up to the ermita de lourdes. It’s a very tranquil place that feels like its in a mythical forest. Moss covers the ancient trees with long fronds of verdant green. It’s very humid, but also cool compared to the lower areas of La Gomera. The diversity of plant life is astounding.
Near the base of our hike, we stopped for a watercress soup that was truly delicious. It came with Gofia flour to thicken it to taste. -
