  1. @Hesperalis that’s such a nice post - i fully agree, rural busses are wonderful, we should all use them much more. Your post made me realise that my last time was 9 months ago! But a particularly enjoyable trip #BasketMaking #RuralBus

  2. @Hesperalis Oh, that Sylva Grow is expensive but peat compost shouldn’t be sold at all. It certainly shouldn’t be sold cheaper than the peat free alternatives. #Allotment #PeatFree #Compost #GrowYourOwn

  3. @Hesperalis That schedule makes sense.

Useful information I gleaned from John Kempf’s brilliant Regenerative Agriculture podcast with Harriet Mella regenerativeagriculturepodcast was the best uptake for foliar feed (from sap analysis) is the week before the full moon. The least advantageous time is the week of the new moon.

    I dabble in a bit of #RegenAg #KNF, #permaculture, #biodynamics.

When Spring arrives I’ll be making some IMO2 in the fridge into IMO3 with bran & then IMO4 with soil.

  4. @CiaraNi @hydropsyche i was also thinking of you yesterday- some more unsual #cloud observations on #ClimateDiary yesterday! I have to confess I didn’t know the word #MackerelSky before - thank you for adding another new word (for me) to #climatediary @Hesperalis and @privateshufti

  5. Making potions. Horsetail tea for magnesium deficiency and hopefully, tomato blight control. 🤞

  10. Noticed the start of allium rust on the garlic plants, so will start spraying with a horsetail ferment. Rust is unavoidable on our allotment site, but since using for the last few years, I have managed to hold off the worst of the rust until harvest. I also save the healthiest bulbs for replanting, in the hope that I'm naturally selecting a resistant strain.

  11. Morning. Copper Image double tulips. Gorgeous in arrangements but bulbs are increasingly expensive. Catching up on chores today. 😒

  19. Good morning. It's flower Friday. A little pale arrangement from 2021 with anemone, white tulips, blush Ranunculus and some fresh new foliage. Lost all my Ranunculus this year and missing them sorely.

  23. Good morning. Picked the first of the wild garlic yesterday. Lucky to have a patch on our allotment site. I only take a few leaves when they are young, as I don't like the taste of the older leaves. Another showery day here, with strong winds expected tomorrow. The tatties will not be planted until April at this rate.
