@Flip_Switch echt volkomen van god los dat #Ajax een speler haalt van een #Israelische club #oorlogsmisdadigers die een paar maanden geleden in #Amsterdam op Arabierenjacht ging en de stad in een oorlogszone veranderde. En toen hun hitsende, rellende en mishandelende hooligans tegenstand kregen zich jankend in hun hotel terugtrokken en hun #genocidalNetanjahu met #AntisemitismeClaims te hulp riepen. Is helaas overduidelijk mijn cluppie niet meer, wat een bedroevend gebrek aan morele antennes.

WHY in 2026 am I having to flip switches in Setup to a "legacy" boot to get it to boot from anything but the network???
OK, so these aren’t exactly new nodes. Supermicro X11 boards with Nutanix firmware(?) that are designed to drop into a cloud infra setup. But we don’t have that.
The boot order SAYS try disks of all flavors but it just doesn't do that.
I blame IBM. This whole architecture was a botch from the start and has just gotten slimier as we've "fixed" it.

I made this basic #debouncing example with an SPDT switch which is a flip switch with 3 terminals: the common middle one is either connected to the left or right one. The left and right pin are pulled up with two resistors, and ground on the common pin pulls one of them down when the switch is engaged. The raw readout (blue) shows at least 10x 100 us = 1 ms of bounces which is not too bad actually. The edge of the debounced output (yellow) is vertical on this scale. More modding on the Modal Skulpt.
After I remade the cover from solid apple wood some time ago, the last thing that annoyed me was the on off switch. Its so tiny and loose that one little wrong movement can switch off the device.
Since the top is hollow inside with 2mm material strength and enough place in the right spot I managed to fit a proper flip switch.
The edge broke while drilling becquse it jammed but was easy to glue back on reinforce with some epoxy from the inside.
I like.
