  1. Going to take a trek down memory lane with some of the prototype devices I got to keep.

(I used to have all of the devices we shipped)

  2. #TrunksSocial has always been a good Mastodon app.

I'm really digging the UI updates in the newest beta. I daresay it's even "gooder" now.

  3. It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here, the 3rd issue of ++Mag, a quarterly magazine published by Bosnian IT company Klika (I am their community manager).

As a journalist, I am somewhat in charge of different aspects of the magazine. After the great November migration from Twitter (X) to Mastodon happened, I informed my colleagues I wanted to do a piece on Fediverse.

So it happened. As far as I know, this is the first journalistic insight into Fediverse published in Bosnia.

I'd like to thank the outstanding people who helped me to write it down by providing answers:
    @[email protected], @atomicpoet , @[email protected], @[email protected] of @[email protected], @[email protected] and [email protected] for that excellent @[email protected] 😀

The feeling of failure you get from every finished article is not new - you always think you could delve deeper and explain something better. I feel I haven't scratched the surface with this article and the topic of Fediverse.

But this article is basically a conversation starter piece, and I hope it will shed some more light on a great alternative that will be able to spark more civilized conversations across WWW.

  8. I am tremendously happy to announce that my introductory article to the Fediverse is finally completed. I have managed to distill more than 8000 words of raw material into 2000 words article.

The final draft has been forwarded to my editor.

    I bow thankfully to
@[email protected] , @atomicpoet , @[email protected] , @[email protected], and others who all have contributed with data or statements.

I am sorry I couldn't get all the statements in because of limited space. I have genuinely enjoyed their takes on ActivityPub, Fediverse, Mastodon, etc.

And hubris is terrible, but I am proud of being the first Bosnian journalist (as far as I know) who decided to represent Fediverse to the masses.

Off we go to the future!

  15. My wife's team received a really cool shout-out by a parent who has a child with atypical needs in the school system:

Super proud of her and all of the self less people who do so much to support the children that need the most help.

  21. The feedback on burn out is to remove yourself from the hedonic treadmill of trying to chase for more.

The treadmill, however, implies the ability of the person to disembark from the chase.

What about everyone who has accountability beyond just themselves? Where the choice of disembarking has ramifications beyond their own life?

That's more of a hedonic hamster wheel, and the faster you get going, the worse the outcome.
