    At passivhaus standard the battery would be unnecessary.
    We have one 1921 house, retrofitted to top of EPC 'C') and at the moment we are hardly using the grid, but I'm very mindful of the enormous problems of battery tech: the long supply chains and the devastation to lives and ecosystems at the mining end.

  4. Bought as a supermarket rescue two-years ago, this #wisteria had a couple of small sickly-looking flowers and was just 50cm tall. Today it’s three meters tall with over 30 blooms… and still growing. We’re hoping it’ll completely cover the back of our home.

    Currently, new developments are filled with boring, soul-destroying concrete and glass boxes that are universally hated by the public.

  19. ’s much promoted camera is more like a drunk and half blind cameraman who can’t decide who they’re supposed to be focusing on.

    My parents use it all the time and I end up nauseous after a 30minute call.
