  1. Updated the docs for my pure-Java implementation of OPAQUE (client and server) with also a typescript client. codeheadsystems.github.io/hofm

I included links to other known projects, different languages and levels of maturity. I'm finishing up the main code and have examples of integrations. As that gets solidified, I need to find some group to do a security analysis of it. Apache 2 licensed.

  5. I just published an RFC compliant Java implementation of OPAQUE/OPRF. OPAQUE provides authentication without the need to share the passwords... rendering server's authentication database useless for offline attacks. This implementation, with Typescript/Client support and Open API specs, can be found here: github.com/codeheadsystems/hof

I'd love to get a few eyes on it, looking for comments or security concerns. It's Apache 2 licensed and I'd love to get this (or something like it) everywhere to reduce the value of powning servers. I plan more ports to other languages, go, rust, c#.

  8. There is a #tech youtuber called codehead that included a gif of #nazi nick #fuentes in one of his videos. I asked in a comment if they did it on purpose and they were coy about it with a "mayhaps" reply. They hearted my comment, maybe thinking we were doing a secret handshake or something. Here is the video. #youtube

    AVOID CODEHEAD. DON'T NORMALIZE NAZIS.

Attached is a screenshot of my comment and their reply. Now I gotta go take a shower.

  9. #advent_of_code is only 12 days this year? Eric is looking to reduce their own stress which I totally understand.

    At least it's still here

  10. For the past year and a half, I've been using a #kindle #scribe for my daily journal. I really prefer a digital system than a paper one. I don't like the bulk of the paper I would generate, and unsure of its value anyways. I do like the ability of the scribe to generate text from my scribbles.

I have considered the #remarkable pro and the new mini one, but from what I hear, the text it generates isn't as good. I'd love to hear other people's thoughts between the two systems.

  11. I've been working on my most recent game (Lambda Protocol), and finally getting the input controls and hex manipulation done enough to work on the gameplay. I worry that I still missing some more intuitive controls, but with all I added to make changing easier, once I have folks testing it I can make changes.

I've been having lots of fun with this. I hope to have something playable in a few months. #indigame #ΛΠ #libgdx

  17. So died. His early legacy shaped my own world. Never met him, but I sure knew of him. His stories, both the true ones and the fake ones, were so intertwined in how I learned about computing in my youth. When I was learning on the PDP-11 I was told about his hacks years earlier with DEC. That shaped my impression of what was possible, the good and the bad.

Died at 59. I do feel bad that he's gone.

  18. I've been working lambdas... and to boot... with ... instead of and the only comfort I have... is Makefiles and shell scripts.

I love all of it. But I'm learning so many different things at once. Okay, I used when I was at amazon... but they had such nice internal libraries. I'm forgetting simple things like setting up my IAM roles correctly. *sigh*

  19. I've finished my #FeatureFlag #Java project, which I ported from what I used back when I worked on #Alexa (github.com/wolpert/feature-fla) It works well and I'll continue to support it.

But now I'm going back to working on my star runners game in #Godot ... I need more fun.

  20. I don't know where to ask so I'm yelling into the fediVoid: Which is the 'favorites' button gone on posts in Mastodon? I can 'boost', reply, or use the three-dot menu button to bookmark. But I cannot for the life of me find the 'favorite' button. (I can see my list of favorites still, I just can no longer add to them)

  21. Got my Pi02w, SD card with #pwnagotchi on it, new Sugar coming today, and a 2.13r2b waveshare. Just missing an i2c clock to add.

Replacing my pi4 with the proper sized zero finally... now that the supply chain is (mostly) fixed.

Of course, need a 3Dp to print a case. Just wish I had a place to keep one. :(

  22. I want #wayland to be a thing. But it's just not ready yet. Staying with #x11

  23. So I'm in the home stretch finishing my Authy replacement github.com/Simple-OTP.

I've basically done this alone in flutter. Except for the github #copilot AI that helps me with #fluttter... and dependabot which keeps my dependencies up to date.

It's kinda nice pair programming with an AI. The AI isn't right all the time, but does give me ideas and can at least provide a good head start.

  28. I'm thinking of getting a #HeatPumps #WasherDryer combo. Anyone buy one recently and have thoughts on the matter? (Good or Bad)

I want it for the energy savings but worry the time it takes to dry will eventually annoy me to no end.

    Thoughts?
