  1. Watchdogs Upset EPA Has 'Once Again Failed' to Limit Dicamba Herbicide Harm
    commondreams.org/news/epa-dica
The EPA is inconsistent, unreliable, & is weak on enforcement.

  2. Unifying the Rage Against the War Machine
    consortiumnews.com/2023/02/15/
The key is reaching out to all who really oppose this war & the militarism that both facilitates & flows from it. Don't begin, by trying to exclude others who have different views than your own--obvious, isn't it? The huge demos we had in the 60s succeeded because they were inclusive. Only sectarians & egomaniacs can't abide that.

  3. Occupation in Rennes, France: The Socialist Party Calls the Police to Repress Mobilized Youth
    leftvoice.org/occupation-in-re
This is an illustration of how a label--in this case, 'socialist'--doesn't automatically ensure anything. The SP in France is a social-democratic formation, not at all challenging capitalism, but (sometimes) defending various social benefits of unionized workers. That's about it.

  4. Americans’ trust in US news organisations declines: Study
    aljazeera.com/news/2023/2/15/a
There used to be similar study results released about US Congress--I've not seen one of those in a long, long time. Wonder why.

  5. DIANA JOHNSTONE: Demonstrate Together
    consortiumnews.com/2023/02/14/
Chris Hedges has written in the same vein; to both, I have added the caveat that if it's true the Libertarian Party organizers did not reach out to any leftist groups for speakers, that's a major fail. Meantime, I hope the turnout is substantial; remembering the huge demonstrations of the Sixties--& the very first one, where SDS brought out 20,000 people--I hope it will be sizable.

  6. Chris Hedges: Building a Left-Right Coalition Against War
    consortiumnews.com/2023/02/14/
He's right about this, of course--but there's an apparent failing, at least thusfar, which suggests bad faith by the Libertarian Party people organizing this. Put aside the critique of their party's politics, read down further, to how they didn't even reach out to leftist peace groups. Something smells rotten in Gotham City...

  7. The Calamity of America’s ‘Divine Mission’
    consortiumnews.com/2023/02/10/
The same hubris that drives U$A's racism & imperialism today--& its capo, Israel. G_d ordained us, Zion, to be the superior race that will inherit the earth, "civilizing" it by removing the subhuman savages in the way, & making heaven on earth. Onward, Judeo-Christian soldiers! Bombs away!

  8. Sanders to Join Rail Workers in Fresh Demand for Paid Sick Leave commondreams.org/news/sanders-
Will @aoc and the rest of the (D) "socialist" crew who exerted themselves to prevent the railworkers from striking last time, confront Sanders on this? You musn't upset the (D) House & Senate while they're busily playing the stock market, by fostering this nasty labor uppityness, you know.

  9. Rail Workers Blame Fiery Train Crash in Ohio on Wall Street Profit-Seeking
    commondreams.org/news/rail-wor
Oh, those pesky complaining rail workers--are they going to threaten something extreme, like strike...again? Best not: their friends in Congress, aka the (D) Socialists [sic] of America, would just have to vote against it...again. So calm down, and keep your asbestos knickers on, OK?

  10. Chris Hedges: Woke Imperialism
    scheerpost.com/2023/02/05/chri
As I've noted before, the liberal vision is a rainbow...of the hands that rob, break, & ultimately kill you. There--isn't that nice.

  11. Canada is coming undone
    aljazeera.com/opinions/2023/2/
Reading this article, Canada appears as a microcosm of what Twitter has become. That said--what's happened to Canada's medical system? This is horrifying. It used to be--and in some ways, still is--far better than the one in the USA. I've read that their medical services are underfunded. Is that true? If you have articles about that, please share them.
