Daughter just had a 30 minute focal seizure 😟 I fannied about not knowing if I should give emergency meds as she kept looking like she was going to come out. Epilepsy is such a shit confusing thing. Anyway, she's fine and sleeping it off.

Been very moved by articles by fellow parent carers this morning re ableist slurs which moved me to want to draw about it.
This drawing isn't quite expressing what I mean, and is a bludgeon of a picture, but I wanted to get started as it's time to do better at this. And I direct that message very much at myself too

Progress. A only woke once last night at 2 ish. She was hard to settle but after I winged my way through telling a story (just off the top of my head - couldn't risk putting the light on) she drifted off. Phew. Unfortunately I was pretty awake but I think I grabbed an hour in the end.
