As you can see in my own recent post, I am in the process of training an opensource HTR model for early 20th-century British handwriting for #escriptorium -- but it's going to be a long and challenging process to prepare enough data. e-Scriptorium is based on kraken, but none of the existing models were good enough to serve as a basis for our use case. So if anyone is interested in helping us prepare a kraken-compatible ground truth, please let us know!
