To be a right-wing cultist in the present era means being a completely submissive bottom and always allowing other people to establish your opinions and twiddle your emotions as they see fit.
I suspect they're mad because former Obama re-election campaign manager Jim Messina suggested that the Biden administration should use pop culture icons to reach out to younger voters, and Taylor Swift was one example he gave. Biden's campaign seems to like the idea, thus Big Stupid is big mad.
And when Big Stupid tells his big moron followers to be mad too, they obediently comply, because they have no will of their own.

I know this is debated often, but I do not believe Childs is the thing because he is still wearing his earring in the same ear. The thing cannot copy metal.
McReady is the thing.
Earlier in the movie, the team decides to prepare their own food and eat out of cans because this would spread the thing. McReady shares his opened drink with Childs, then chuckles when he drinks it because McReady knows he just won.

I know they are 26 years old and now Ted Criz is trying to say Bud Lite was pandering to a younger audience to buy beer.
At face value it just sounds like unwarranted retaliation and fascism but I'm not too familiar with who Mulvaney is or their audience.
