I’ve grown all three and seen them growing wild in Nova Scotia and the Rockies.
Many mythologies talk about the importance of columbines.

Excited to announce my image
HILDEGARD AT DAWN
will be used in a 2024 calendar (Ministry of the Arts) for
distribution in the USA,( also sent to many prisons).
The painting is based on a mystical experience I had one early
morning watching the sunrise when the sky turned from grey
to vivid pink. If you look closely you will see many
bird species .
