After a harrowing few years when it seems that every baking company was adding sesame to their products, the FDA declared sesame to be a major allergen, affecting 1.6 million Americans who have a sesame allergy, (yes, I am one of them). But companies have found a legal workaround to simply removing sesame from their products., I call it a loophole. Still, in the three major markets in my area, all of their name brand bread products contain sesame.
