Completely forgot to post this note, here is the post about setting up the #FrameworkLaptop: https://5uie1.netlify.app/2022/06/12/frameworksetup. In this post, I document the process I followed in order to setup the computer with #slackware. After almost 7-8 years, it was a surprisingly easy transition back into #linux. The power of the laptop meant I abandoned #dualboot and am using Windows on a VM with #slackware15 as the host system.

Here is the obligatory post about my transition to the #FrameworkLaptop: https://5uie1.netlify.app/2022/06/05/2022-06-22-frameworkarrived. I’ll post a detailed setup process soon with #slackware and ditching dual boot with this powerful laptop. I’m not sure about a review though, there are tonnes of them online now and I won’t be able to add new information. #linux #slackware15 #fosslover

Thanks for sharing about #shinobi, I wasn't aware of this. If you are thinking about site navigation, some #gopher clients, like #elpher has URL detection, and even URL in plain-text is highlited and accesible by browser key bindings.
I've never tried, but it's Elpher branch with HTTP support, so maybe it will fit your shinobi site.

@dominicm @benjaminhollon Thank you! Would you mind sharing your config files? I did go into a bit of an #emacsrabbithole for a while and tried emacswm for while but didn’t have everything setup well. Also, please do let me know if you’re willing to share your config.scm and channels.scm for #guixsd
-
@benjaminhollon yep, I’d gone down into the #emacsrabbithole and even given emacswm a chance.
-
@hlegius very much active and thriving! I’m on #slackware15 current.

@Xanthinian My Paperwhite has been with me for a good 8-9 years now without a problem but is starting to show its age. The build quality has been really good and so has the performance until now. I’m on the lookout for an open hardware alternative once this is done as I don’t want to get locked in. #einkreader

@jinxd I've heard a lot about BTRFS, as I am coming back
Linux after a long time, I decided to stick to something I am familiar
such as EXT4. The last time I used Linux, ext3 was the staple. I might
give BTRFS a try once I am comfortable, and am also curious with the
manner in which #nixos and #guixos does this too. -
If you'd like to avoid some of my toots, please do block
#emacsrabbithole. After having read the latest dispatch from ireal
(https://irreal.org/blog/?p=10855) and Sacha
(https://sachachua.com/blog/2022/10/2022-10-03-emacs-news/), I've gone
and created my own theme using autothemer
(https://github.com/jasonm23/autothemer), and I have customized the
modeline. #emacs :emacs: FTW! -
@benjaminhollon The #fediworld isn't helping my weekend
unwind programme. See what is happening! -
And for the nth time, RIP del.icio.us and StumbleUpon #bookmarks #BookmarkSyncing #delicious

Finally here on #slackware with my #FrameworkLaptop, will post more details soon, but here is the obligatory neofetch.

@szczezuja @tdarb In continuation, am I doing something wrong? I get an invalid branch when I try to follow the URL: https://alexschroeder.ch/cgit/elpher/log/?h=http. #elpher itself is great for browsing #gemini space. It has got me thinking about mirroring my small site using envs.net! #emacs FTW!

@szczezuja @tdarb Thank you for sharing this, #eww does link navigation but not if it is in plain-text. I'll check out #elpher soon.
