  1. @3DPrintingDad I lost a bearing as well! I was just about to lookup how to order another filament feeder when I spotted that it was lying inside the case :)

Thanks man, I'll tag you with updates whenever I get it (still gotta save up for a bit). I think my first project will be to design and print low-vision dominoes for my mom.

@remindme 1 month to mention these fine dudes when I start posting about again

  3. I see Prusa's @MattStultz is here on Mastodon, but still no #Prusa3D, no Josef, no Mikoláš 😢
Any (not too) secret plans to get #Prusa on the fediverse?
Maybe a Prusa Mastodon instance? That would be soooo cool!

  4. Happy (Mar10)!

While my can't quite capture Mario's likeness (probably good from a liability standpoint), I at least tried to get his bushy 'stache.

  6. I'm curious: is there anyone in the first batch of pre-orders that can tell me if their printer arrived on time, early, or late? (See linked chart for reference.) I'm in the second batch. 🙂

  7. Tuhlie

Little toolholder for belts. Best printed in TPU.

    • Screwdriver (Wera etc)
    • Wrenches
    • Bits
    • Screwpockets
    • Loop for pliers

I'll test this a bit before upload.

This was also a nice little test for Freecad 1.0.

  11. When I went to print the b-side z drives I ran into heat creep.

I had a bunch of successful prints through this (kilos of ASA) and had already printed nine or so hours of ASA earlier in the day.

I’m running a Xol mod with a cutter and the PTFE lengths weren’t specified so I estimated.

But it looks like I shorted myself on my PTFE just a bit and it ended up sliding back 1.5mm, apparently enough to creep and stop things up.

Edit: on closer inspection it also looks like I used the wrong inner diameter PTFE… I’m surprised it worked as well as it did.

  12. fluencyCAD

Fixed the redrawing of bodies when switching components by indenting a block of code one stop to the right.

A few smaller things in the sketcher including the handling of origins when drawing on projected bodies needs to be beautified. Display of constrains and shwoing dimensions on hover have been done recently.

I'm looking forward to implementing circles, rectangles, slots to the sketcher. This gonna be some rewarding fun stuff.

Right after that more body operations than the currently available cut.

Then some work on the export of bodies that would mark the first milestone of "somewhat usable for simple shapes".

Its somewaht easy to get back into it thanks to the last rewrite and thats just perfect for the short weekend sessions it received ober the last months since I started it but it does need a bigger devblock to get to that first milestone.

Most importantly, I still think it can become a good CAD program for Tinkerneers.
