A nice information stand at the library in the run-up to Skiftedagen, 'Big Switch From Big Tech Day', on Friday.

Kind of the librarians to put out cosy armchairs so you can make yourself comfortable as you make the switch.

#Dokk1 is a public library like I've never seen before. There are 3 floors, plenty of play rooms for kids, no less than 4 playground facilities outside, private study room, a maker lab with 3d printers and much more.
A miniature of the city is hanging upside down over the road below the building.
The #EndlessConnection fountain nearby compels people to switch section if they don't want to get wet. The kids had so much fun!

The library is having a book sale on Wednesday and Thursday.
Now amn't I very righteous and virtuous to be telling you that? I mean, it's every reader for herself at the jumble tables. The Reader Games. What if I tell someone and they get there before me and beat me to the books I want? Anyway, you're the third person I've shared the dates with today, so that's my good deed for this year done.

Just when I thought I couldn't love the library's Christmas tree even more, I read the sign.
'Come and pluck our book tree! Between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the 22nd, you can pick free books from our Christmas tree and give them a new home. Bring a bag - enjoy your new reads!'

Got a sunflower lanyard at #Dokk1. It's the international signal for invisible disabilities.
It wasn't as smooth as I hoped for. There was nobody at the info desk of borgerservice. Thankfully the people at the info desk of the library told me that I just need to stand there and someone will come. That worked and I got the lanyard without having to explain myself. First impressions: #Aarhus is bustling. Not too much, not too little, it's the right amount for me. Feels like a *very* walkable city. 💚
The seaside district looks pretty cool, gonna check that out tomorrow! #DOKK1 has a great vibe, I like it a lot.
Personally, I could do w/o those humungous swimming, diesel-belching COVID cookers in their port (cruise ships), though, as they're a goddamn eye sore.
But now, I am pooped and ready for bed!

Min #FredagsBog er Terry Pratchetts The Light Fantastic, nummer to af hans bøger om Discworld. Jeg læser den på #DOKK1 i Århus med brun støj i ørerne (aaahhhh) og lyden af mennesker svagt bag det. Bagsideteksten begynder med “What shall we do?” said Twoflower. “Panic?” said Rincewind hopefully… og jeg er nået til tredje side og har allerede klukket en håndfuld gange; jeg havde savnet Pratchetts kløgt og særlige klang. Altid en anbefaling, hvis du kan lide fjol og dyb menneskelig indsigt.

I feel so sanctimonious every time I share this news with other people. I mean, what if they get there before me and beat me to the best books on the jumble table? I am creating competition for myself. I am a saint, so I am.
